| Harley California Chopper This model kit was reissued in 2025, included in the Revell '29 Ford Model A pickup truck. It was originally issued in 1963 as a standalone kit and then include in the 1982 release of the "Grease" movie tie-in "Classic Harley and Honda". A build article can be found HERE. Base Kit(s): Revell '29 Ford Model A pickup truch (kit number 14565) Finished: Aug 2025 Modifications/Additions: - brake foot pedal master cylinder and plumbing to rear caliper - throttle cable - headlight from parts box, with separate clear lens - taillight was modified by removing rear lens section and replacing with clear red sprue - speedometer from Maisto diecast - clutch lever from Maisto diecast, with added cable - rear brake disk and caliper from Maisto diecast - spark plugs and wiring from Greg’s Scale Model Accessories (Ted’s Modeling Marketplace) - oil lines from 0.8 mm (0.031”) diameter cable from Tamiya, with the connection points from aluminum wire - exhaust pipe from 1.5 mm (0.060”) diameter aluminum wire used for bonsai trees - scratchbuilt mufflers - custom printed license plate - paint on gas and oil tanks is Tamiya TS-23, decanted and airbrushed, followed by clear pearl Click on Thumbnail to see detailed image.
